How we work

We build platforms and standards, and our partners launch the products on top of them. We work for the long term: we have been developing the payment platform for more than ten years.
The partner model
We do not enter markets with storefronts of our own. Our role is to give a foundation to those who already work in those markets, which is why 4pay.online should be read not as our payment service but as a platform on which a partner launches its own payment product under its own brand.
The education platform Pipir is offered as a franchise: a partner in its country gets a ready platform, joint localisation for the national school curriculum and acceptance of the payment methods common in the region. The Heth.me wallet and the CCSA standard have developed their own forms of cooperation, from joint rollouts to accreditation of audit firms. The U—U Pay payment form was released together with a design studio: it did the interface and the user journeys, we did the payment logic.

The roles in this arrangement are clear to both sides: the platform, the development and the support are ours, while the market, the brand and the customer relationship belong to the partner. The terms of cooperation for each product are described on its own site.
Where our products come from
Some of them grew out of our own work. The payment platform, the management console and most of the internal tools appeared because we needed to solve an operational task ourselves, and when the solution turned out well it became a product.
Another part we develop to order. Smart contracts, payment gateways and anti-fraud systems are built to a specific technical brief and handed over to the client together with support.

Finally, some work starts as a test of an idea. We assemble a working prototype to understand whether there is real value behind the concept, and only then decide whether to develop the direction. Sometimes the road from a test to a product takes years: the browser chat we built in the early twenties turned into a family messenger several years later. Some of these tests are closed down, and we consider that a normal price of searching.
Consulting and development complement each other
Advising on payment architecture and security, we keep meeting the same mistakes. We design our own platforms knowing about those mistakes in advance.
The integration with a provider turns out to be hard-wired into the business logic, every partner names transaction statuses differently, reconciliation is kept in a spreadsheet, and an audit log is introduced after the first disputed payment.

The feedback loop matters just as much. The experience of running our own systems gives consulting material you will not find in the text of the standards. When we recommend designing payment routing together with reconciliation, behind that recommendation is our own analysis of discrepancies rather than a retelling of someone else’s case.
Principles of work
We work for the long term

We have been developing the payment platform for more than ten years. In that time it has gone through three major upgrades, and none of them required clients to stop working. We look at partnership the same way: launching a product is the start of a relationship, followed by support, development and keeping the system in line with changing regulatory requirements.
We fit the format to the task

We have no off-the-shelf box, so we define the form of cooperation together with the partner. It can be a launch under their brand, a franchise, joint development or an audit with recommendations handed to their team. We gladly take on unusual briefs: cooperative mutual settlement, Islamic banking, work with currencies that the large international systems do not serve.
We adopt the new earlier than the market

Blockchain settlement on mainnet, asset tokenisation, language models in operational work — we are among the first to go after these technologies. We offer partners only what has been tested on our own products, and before taking on a new technology we answer the question of which task it solves. If there is no clear answer, there is no reason to adopt it either.
Let us talk about your task
Launching a product on the platform, a partnership in one of our directions, an audit of an existing system or preparation for certification — we start with a conversation about what you have now.
We have no off-the-shelf box, so we define the form of cooperation together with the partner — from a launch under their brand to an audit with recommendations handed to their team.
